Liz Benson born as Elizabeth Benson is a Nollywood Actress, television personality, Evangelist and Philanthropist. Liz began acting at the age of five. Her popularity begun when she featured in Fortunes, a television soap opera in 1993. Most movie watchers in Nigeria love Liz so much and it is seen as one of the first ladies of Nollywood.
Liz played the part of Mrs. Agnes Johnson in the soap, Fortunes, which ran for about two years on the Nigerian Television Authority network. In 1994, she also featured on Glamour Girls, a very successful home video film that focused on the theme of prostitution. Her role in it changed the scene for her after Fortunes.
The movie shot her into prominence and gradually she warmed her way into the minds of millions of Nigerian movie fans.
